Forest Skills (10-13)

Nature-based educational activities for children aged 10-13 to support a healthy transition from childhood to adolescence.

Back on track (14-15)

Youth Vision - back on track icon

An intensive year-long support and learning programme that is suitable for young people aged 14-16 who are not attaining in or attending school.

Staying on track (16-24)

Youth Vision - staying on track icon

A further support and outdoor learning programme, suitable for young people (16-24 years old) who are Not in Employment, Education or Training.

Saturday Wilderness Group (13-24)

Youth Vision - wilderness icon

For young people aged 13-24 who want to develop a deeper connection to nature and put their wilderness skills into action.

Young Leaders (16-24)

Youth Vision - young leaders icon

Young Leaders is a volunteering opportunity for 16-24 year olds who are involved in out Staying on Track and Wilderness programmes and want to learn new skills and gain experience in youth work and outdoor leadership.

Friday Community Gardening and Maintenance Group (Work Experience)

This group is open to the local community and young people over the age of 16 years. This group develops and supports the garden and infrastructure of the farm steading, growing fruit and vegetables and provides food for all groups.

Back on Track – a school programme run twice a year during term time (September to November / April to June)ThursdayAimed at S3’s and S4’s, an intensive 10-week therapeutic programme supporting young people identified by Guidance staff and Welfare Officers. (BoT)
Staying on Track – a programme for young people aged 16 + who have left school and are looking for further support and to learn new skills.WednesdayRuns 6 week blocks of interesting subjects to provide work experience and skills development to support young people into employment and better destinations. (SoT)
Summer campJuly (1 week)The camps programme consists of skills development and volunteering for all interested school and Youth Vision Saturday participants.
Vision Quest campJuly (1 week)Vision Quest is for the over 16yrs olds, who are ready to move into adulthood. Runs over 3 days and sends youth out into the wilderness on their own solo adventure, returning into the adult world.
Community Gardening GroupFridayProviding work experience for people aged 16yrs + Open to all with an interest in helping out at the bothy and in the garden. Developing skills in land maintenance and knowledge of growing, plants and gardening.
Community workshopsVarious dates throughout the yearWe offer workshops in traditional skills e.g. dyking, willow weaving, herbal medicine, basket-making – open to all Youth Vision participants and volunteers as well the local community.
