Young people can be referred to us from school, support service, Education Welfare, and Partner organisations. We welcome new applicants throughout the school term.

Become our partner

We are always interested to meet new partners within the community with whom we can work together and support. We seek to arrange day trips throughout the calendar year to visit and learn from social enterprises, farming or growing communities, youth clubs, volunteering organisations, conservation sites, arts and culture venues and museums.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

If you would like to set up a partnership day, or visit the steading for a CSR staff day out, please get in touch. CSR fees are negotiable and typically cover costs for staffing the day, catering, and an agreed donation.

Become a trustee

We welcome interest from individuals keen to join our Board of Trustees. All experience and skills are considered, however specific areas for development within the organisation include: HR; management; office management; funding; IT.

Senior Youth Development Worker

£16.50 per hour, up to 25 hours per week (inc. some weekends)

Location: Balerno Outdoors.

We seek an experienced outdoor and multi-skilled senior project worker to develop and support our Youth Vision team. This exciting post offers a unique opportunity to work with vulnerable young people in the nature-based informal education setting of our 18th Century restored farm steading in the Pentland hills.

Working alongside the field manager you will support, develop, and run various projects at Youth Vision. You will be involved, in developing and processing current and future funding strategies along with evaluation procedures.  You must have experience of lead facilitation with staff and volunteers as well as working with vulnerable young people and volunteers.
