We recently finished our first 6 week Forest Skills project in Wester Hailes. The course was fully booked and all of the young people involved enjoyed getting outdoors (even in the rain), exploring, lighting fires, foraging and making Elderberry and Bramble jam, environmental arts and swinging in the hammock.
The celebration event on Friday 19th October was attended by family and friends of the young people who showed off their new skills. We ate great food, toasted marsh mallows on the campfire, told stories and got our faces painted as unicorns, tigers, butterflies and killer clowns thanks to Jemima Thewes.
